AurisBook plays the audiobooks you already own. There is no built-in catalog: you bring the files and the app handles the rest — chapters, progress, speed, bookmarks and a sleep timer, all offline and with no account.
Before you start
- Supported formats: MP3, M4A, M4B, AAC and WAV.
- Files must be reachable from the system file picker — device storage, iCloud Drive, Google Drive or similar.
- Nothing is uploaded: your audio stays on your device.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the Files app and save the audiobooks under "On My iPhone" or in iCloud Drive. If they came as a .zip, tap it to unzip.
- Open AurisBook and tap + on the Library screen.
- Select the files for the book — you can pick several at once.
- Check the chapter order and tap Import.
On Android
- Download or copy the files to your device — the Downloads folder works fine.
- Open AurisBook and tap + on the Library screen.
- Select the files for the book and tap Import.
Getting the chapter order right
Files are added in alphabetical order, which often surprises people: without two-digit numbering, "Chapter 10" lands before "Chapter 2". Rename your files as 01, 02, 03… before importing. You can also move individual files up or down on the import screen before confirming.
Where to find audiobooks
Free, legal public-domain libraries:
- LibriVox — volunteer recordings of public-domain works in many languages, distributed as MP3.
- Project Gutenberg — a library of free works, some with audio editions.
- Internet Archive — a large collection of audiobooks and recorded poetry.
Download the files and follow the steps above. They are yours, and they stay on your device.

No. It is a player: it plays files you already own. There is no built-in store or catalog.
Can I play Audible audiobooks?
No. Audible .aax files are DRM-protected and only play in Audible's own apps. AurisBook plays unprotected files such as MP3 and M4A.
Do I need an internet connection?
No. Internet is only needed to download the files. Once imported, everything works offline.
Are my files uploaded to the cloud?
No. Audio stays in your device's storage. The app has no account and no sync — see the Privacy Policy.
What about books with dozens of chapters?
